Dangerous junctions revealed in updated LCC map

The capital’s most dangerous junctions for cycling, walking and wheeling are revealed in a map produced by the London Cycling Campaign (LCC).

The updated map covers five years of emergency services data including newly-released 2024 data. LCC said it updates the map annually to show the Mayor, TfL, the police, London’s councils and the public where road danger is.

LCC’s ‘danger metrics’ lists the 20 most dangerous junctions in including junctions at Upper Tooting Rd, Great Eastern Street, Clapham High Street and Farringdon Road.

As well as the mapping, LCC this year launched an email template to send to the London Mayor urging both him and TfL to improve their response to dangerous junctions.

LCC said it has also gathered data on families, friends, councils, TfL and police in the aftermath of fatal collisions at ten dangerous junctions. “This isn’t just about kerbs and signals – it’s about lives lost and ruined, and the shameful inaction of too many of London’s leaders,” said LCC.
