City of Edinburgh Council is seeking damages of £222m against the legal firm that advised it over a tram project which ran significantly over budget. The council claims that law firm DLA Piper failed to properly warn it that the costs of the Edinburgh Tram Project would soar. The project ran more than £300m over budget.
