Diverting a section of the M25 as part of plans for a third runway at Heathrow could lead to “displacement of significant traffic flows to inappropriate local roads”, the Heathrow Area Transport Forum (HATF) has warned.
In a document to be submitted to the DfT this month, the forum’s board members have expressed concerns around the potential impact of lengthy disruption on the M25 due to its realignment near the airport.
