The Kennedy Centre, a retail and leisure destination in West Belfast, is providing shoppers with EV charging facilities.

Chargepoint operator Zest has supplied the Kennedy Centre with six 120 kW ultra-rapid charging bays available to drivers.

The charging facilities offer customers the convenience of topping up their vehicles while shopping, dining, or enjoying leisure activities.

John Jones, centre manager at the Kennedy Centre, said: “We’re thrilled to bring fast, reliable EV charging to our visitors. Sustainability is a growing priority for the Kennedy Centre, and this partnership with Zest helps us make a meaningful contribution to cleaner transport across Belfast. We know many of our customers are switching to electric vehicles, and these new charging bays make that journey easier and more convenient.”

Under the partnership, Zest funds, deploys and operates the charging infrastructure.

Robin Heap, CEO of Zest, said: “As a popular, forward-thinking destination at the heart of its community, the Kennedy Centre plays a vital role in making the switch to electric easier for drivers. By deploying reliable ultra-rapid charging at the places people already visit to shop, eat and spend time, Zest is making charging convenient and accessible, helping accelerate EV adoption and deliver cleaner air for local communities.”
