Landor LINKS and partners are delighted to announce that Robert Llewellyn, actor, comedian and writer, will be the host for the Decarbonising Transport Awards 2026 on Friday 27 March at the Royal Lancaster Hotel. Llewellyn is famous for his media and event series Fully Charged / Everything Electric, and his roles in Scrapheap Challenge and the sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf.
Llewellyn’s Fully Charged Show, focusing on clean energy and electric vehicles, evolved into Everything Electric to cover a wider range of topics including the future of transport and renewable energy, technology from solar panels to battery storage and alternative energy technologies. The brand includes a YouTube channel, podcasts and live events across the UK and beyond.
Llewellyn will be hosting the gala lunchtime Awards Ceremony on 27 March, and handing out Awards to the winning entrants.
As global delegates meet in Belen for COP30, a major theme of COP30 is shifting from setting goals to concrete action, with transport transitions being one of the six key areas. These Awards bring that message home to the UK.
The Decarbonising Transport Awards 2026 are organised to recognise the individuals, teams, partnerships and innovations that are providing genuine leadership and unwavering efforts to reduce carbon across the transport industry.
The deadline for entries is 5 December 2025, and judging will take place during December 2025 and January 2026. The longlist will be announced on 5 January 2026.
There are 16 Awards categories – orgainsed into three sections including People & Teams Awards, Category Awards and Special Awards – so there is plenty of opportunity to showcase your organisation’s projects, initiaves and leadership in this most critical area. Decarbonising transport and achieving net zero is the biggest challenge facing the transport sector.
Transport professionals have one of the most important and influential roles in shaping a better world. Every time we design a cleaner bus route, reimagine a car-dominated street into a thriving place for people, reduce emissions from road infrastructure, or make sustainable travel more accessible - we are making decisions that will greatly enhance the lives of future generations.
Says Daniel Simpson, co-Managing Director at Landor LINKS: “The Decarbonising Transport Awards are about more than recognition – they’re about momentum. By celebrating the work being done today, we aim to inspire even greater progress tomorrow. We're incredibly proud to create a platform that supports and spotlights those shaping a cleaner, fairer transport future.”
We are committed to ensuring a transparent, fair and rigorous judging process that recognises meaningful impact, ambition and replicability.
Simpson added: “Each submission will be reviewed and scored by multiple judges to ensure a balanced and impartial outcome.”
Last month, Landor LINKS announced the expert judging panel that will be considerting entries across the award categories, covering all aspects of transport decarbonisation from innovation, leadership, freight, active travel and public transport.

“The choices we make today will be judged tomorrow. And in the face of the climate crisis, the need to celebrate bold action, visionary leadership, and tangible progress in decarbonising transport has never been greater,” he says.
“The Decarbonising Transport Awards fill a long-overdue gap. They will not only recognise innovation and commitment, but serve as a beacon for others to follow.”
