Digital Vehicle Services Framework is being developed by DfT

Government wants to have a conversation with AV sector

Darren Capes, the Department for Transport’s head of road infrastructure technology, has given an indication that the government’s future approach to connected vehicles will be based around defined service levels.

Speaking at the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) Strictly Highways event, Capes said the DfT is developing a Digital Vehicle Services Framework, which would eventually set service levels for connected data services to shape UK’s digital roads future.
