Newcastle-under-Lyme car parks could make way for homes

Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is planning to sell off a underused car parks for housing.

Three car parks in the Staffordshire borough have been earmarked for development – Blackfriars Road, part of King Street, and Garden Street/Bankside.

Deputy leader Cllr Stephen Sweeney said the sale of some parking sites was expected following the multi-storey Castle car park.
