British Parking Awards 2025: The winners

An advertising and media campaign to change often negative public perceptions of parking patrol officers.

A National Park's work in partnership with rural communities to manage rising demand for visitor parking in these scenic but working areas.

Building a standards-based online platform that creates an open market for cashless parking payments.

These were just some of the initiatives that emerged as winners at the British Parking Awards 2025.

The winners were revealed at a ceremony which took place at the Royal Lancaster London on Friday 12 September. The event was hosted by acclaimed comedian and quizzer Paul Sinha, ably assisted by legendary spice artist Roger Tilling.

The British Parking Awards were created by Mark Moran, editor of Parking Review magazine in 2002 and have been presented annually ever since.

The competition's aim is to recognise best practice and celebrate innovation in the design and management of parking policies, infrastructure and facilities.

The competition encompasses on-street and off-street parking provision, the work of the public and private sector, and now also the emerging world of electric vehicle (EV) charging.

Parking is an all-too-often undervalued and unsung aspect of the transport, urban management, clean air, active travel and safer streets policy arenas.

Parking is also a vibrant business sector in its own right. Car parks and kerbside management operations keep towns and cities moving by enabling access for shoppers, workers, delivery vehicles and utiliities to destinations such as shops, leisure venues, hospitals, rail stations and airports.

The diversity and energy of the parking sector was evident in the fact that this year over 180 entries were submitted to the competition. This record tally was whittled down to a short(er) list of finalists by a 25-strong jury of independent-minded experts from the worlds of parking, traffic and transport.

The ceremony saw individuals, teams, local authorities, companies, projects and systems recognised by being presented with the iconic Parking Review and Evolution trophies.

The awards lunch is regarded as the social highlight of the parking sector’s calendar. The event is organised by Landor LINKS.
