South Tyneside Council has been recognised for the safety and accessibility demonstrated in their parking operations.
Ten council sites have been awarded the Park Access and Park Mark awards. This brings to 34 the number of sites operated by South Tyneside Council that have now received these award.
Park Mark is part of the Safer Parking Scheme, a Police Crime Prevention Initiative and managed by the British Parking Association.
