The bus and coach sector leads UK road decarbonisation as zero-emission uptake surges by 129.5% to reach more than a quarter of the market.
The number of new buses, coaches and minibuses in the UK grew by half (49.8%) with 2,532 joining the road in the first three months of 2025, according to the latest figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
