Gloucester city centre car park partially reopens

A multi-storey car park in Gloucester has partially reopened following a nine-month closure.

The lower five floors of the Longsmith Street Car Park are opening.

The 300-space site was closed in 2023 after concerns about the structure of the car park wre raised by a councillor.

Gloucester City Council has since carried out extensive resurfacing and repairs. The council said it made business sense to repair and reopen part of the site with a reconfigured layout that reopens around 130 spaces.
