A £1m plan to improve air quality – including awareness campaigns and an alert system when pollution is high – has been launched in the West Midlands.
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is to install a network of air quality sensors that will provide real-time, publicly accessible data on pollution levels across the region.
