The Government is “making disappointingly slow progress” in its efforts to increase active travel levels, says a new report by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). 

One of the central reasons for this is the Government’s decision in March to cut the active travel budget by up to £233m up to April 2025, says PAC. This could hold back objectives to increase active travel, it warns.
