A growing number of contemporary car models are too large to fit in average car parking spaces, according to analysis conducted by consumer watchdog Which?

The size of a standard UK parking space has stayed more or less the same for decades, but a trend towards SUVs means cars are getting bigger and heavier, a phenomenon known as “autobesity”.

Which? found that 161 car models it tested were longer than a standard car parking bay, with 12 exceeding the limit by more than 30cm. This...
