Nottingham car park charges set to rise

Parking charges at all council-run car parks in Nottingham city centre will rise.

The new tariffs will come into operation at the six sites on 2 May and rises range from 20p up to £2 depending on the duration.

Nottingham City Council has approved a budget designed to fill a £32.2m deficit in 2023/24.

Besides raising parking fees, the council plans to increase Council Tax by 5% and cut the equivalent of over 100 full-time jobs.
