EV stakeholders call for government action on zero-emission vehicle mandate and VAT for home chargepoint use

The automotive and energy sectors are calling on the Chancellor of the Exchequer to publish a strong zero-emission vehicle mandate to speed up the transition to electric cars.

The zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) targets would be a means of ensuring a set percentage of cars sold are electric, rising each year in the run-up to 2030, when no new petrol or diesel cars or vans will be sold in Britain.
