Surrey hospital aims to overturn multi-storey car park refusal

A council’s decision to refuse planning permission to a new multi-storey car park at Epsom General Hospital in Surrey is being appealed.

Epsom and Ewell Borough Council turned down an application by the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust for 600 parking spaces.

Plans for the five-storey car park, along with changes to surface parking and access to the site, received 125 objections and just one letter in support. They were refused by the borough council in May...
