Safer streets with a country-wide 20mph limit on local roads would save lives and improve quality of life, said Welsh deputy minister for climate change, Lee Waters as he marked roll-out of Wales’s largest 20mph pilot in Cardiff.

The scheme is one of eight pilots to help test the process of reducing Wales’ national default speed limit on residential roads and busy pedestrian streets from 30mph to 20mph by 2023.
