Vehicle removals law to be corrected

The House of Lords Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee is proposing to correct the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations secondary legislation.

The change would rectify an error and restore the power to civil enforcement officers in England to remove vehicles from a road for parking contraventions following the issue of a penalty charge notice (PCN).

An incorrect cross-reference in a previous amending instrument unintentionally removed the power in 2015.
