Work is due to start next week on improvements to the A77 Whitletts roundabout, south-east of Prestwick. The five-arm roundabout, comprising the A77 northbound and southbound, the B743 to Ayr and Maunchline, and the A717, will be enlarged, lanes widened and realigned and traffic signals installed to increase traffic flows. The work should be completed by September.
