Electric scooter hire schemes are being rolled out in cities around the globe, but the sometimes random abandonment of scooters on the pavement is emerging as matter of concern for both local authorities and people with visual impairment.

In a bid to solve this problem, e-scooter operator TIER has teamed up with mapping company Fantasmo to create a parking system that can bring order to city streets without the need for installing new infrastructure.
