Cars turned away from Formby beach as police enforce lockdown rules

Police enforcing coronavirus lockdown rules turned cars that had travelled from Leeds and Manchester away from a Merseyside beach.

Merseyside Police officers stationed at Formby beach turned away more than 100 cars and issued 20 people with fines for breaching COVID-19 rules on Saturday 28 February.
