Aberdeen City Council is planning to purchase a further ten hydrogen fuel cell double-deck buses and to explore the potential for hydrogen-powered trains in the area. 

Bus operator First Aberdeen is currently taking delivery of the 15 hydrogen double-deckers – the first in the world – from Northern Ireland-based bus manufacturer the Bamford Bus Company (LTT 16 Oct).
