Berry Systems' Cox gets masters

Dannyjo Cox, head of commercial at Berry Systems, has marked four years of working for the design and build car park company by graduating with a MSc in quantity surveying.

Cox completed his MSc Quantity Surveying qualification after a two-year part-time course at the University College of Estate Management. He started working with Berry Systems in 2016 as an estimator before moving up to quantity surveyor in 2017 and was promoted to head of commercial in November 2018.

“The course provided a rigorous understanding of the principles and practice involved in quantity surveying,” said Cox. “I’ve found it all very interesting and it has provided me with the necessary building blocks for the future. Now I have the extra responsibility of the head of commercial role, I’m looking forward to passing on what I’ve learned to others within the business.

“Berry Systems is 100% dedicated to staff training and development. Our managing director, Steve Dunn, has given me a massive amount of support to achieve this qualification. I’ve now got the opportunity to do my chartership and I’ll be starting that early this year.”
