Parking payment system supplier APT Skidata has launched a cloud-based anti-virus service to help parking operators and owners avoid downtime due to virus infection or malicious software threats.

Protect.Care is a range of cloud-based anti-virus services to support APT Skidata’s access solutions. It is integrated into APT Skidata’s operational processes so that the company’s service team can regularly report the status of the systems to the system owner.

Protect.Care equips Skidata products that have Microsoft Windows operating systems with an antivirus service agent. This follows an initial security check, including an interrogation of the operating system, the network infrastructure, firewall settings and the site’s data back-up strategy.

Protect.Care communicates via the internet with the central anti-virus services constantly providing the latest security updates to protect against malicious software infection. It also detects any potential threats and removes them to prevent system downtime.
