Driveways can be revenue earners

British householders made £24m during 2019 by renting out their driveways and empty spaces to motorists needing somewhere to park, reports online portal YourParkingSpace.

The £24m made in 2019 dwarves the figures from the previous two years, which were £15m and £12m respectively.

The increase in revenue reflects 78,000 new spaces being registered with the portal over the last 12 months.
