Cars parked on the footway are an obstruction for blind people

Guide Dogs has published an open letter supporting a call by MPs for reform of regulations covering pavement parking.

The charity’s letter draws attention to recommendations made by the House of Commons Transport Committee in September. In a report called Pavement parking, the committee called for an outright ban on pavement parking across England in the long-term. The MPs also recommended that the government:
