The number of cars using a park & ride site in Belfast has virtually doubled since bus lanes with 12-hour bus priority came into operation last year. The Dundonald P&R facility opened in 2014 and was labelled a “white elephant” by a UKIP Assembly Member in 2015. The 520-space facility is now operating at full capacity, following investment in bus lanes and eye-catching new buses branded as Glider.
