UK chemical company INEOS’s decision to move into vehicle production took a step closer to reality with the announcement it is to build a new 4x4 utility vehicle in South Wales.

Site development is now under way to support planned start of production in 2021.

The Grenadier 4x4 is designed to fill the gap left by the now discontinued Land Rover Defender. INEOS Automotive’s utilitarian 4x4 will be named the Grenadier after the pub in which it was conceived, with over 6,000 people...
