The Welsh Government has signalled its willingness to tackle motorists who park on pavements. Motorists who park on pavements with no consideration for the safety of pedestrians or cyclists could soon face action, says deputy minister for transport Lee Waters. An expert group is to consider how to tackle pavement parking and illegal parking, which is a particular issue around schools in Wales.
