The Welsh Government has exempted housing developers from a requirement to equip new properties with charging points for electric vehicles. The latest version of Planning Policy Wales requires at least 10% of new non-residential parking spaces to have EV charging points, transport minister Ken Skates told an Assembly committee.

“The policy focuses on non-residential development to address people’s concerns about not being able to top up when using an electric car,” he said....
