Drivers support regulation of private parking, says survey

Just under two-thirds of drivers want the government to regulate private parking companies and take action against rogue firms, a survey suggests.

Research from GoCompare Car Insurance also indicates that a quarter of UK motorists have been given a parking charge notice (PCN) from a private parking company. Drivers have been penalised £56 on average for breaking the rules of private car park companies.
