POPLA opens in Scotland and Northern Ireland

08 May 2019

Motorists in Scotland and Northern Ireland can now appeal private parking tickets issued by operators in the British Parking Association’s Approved Operator Scheme (AOS).

The POPLA (Parking on Private Land Appeals) independent appeals service became available in Scotland and Ireland on 1 May.

Since its introduction in England and Wales in 2012, over a quarter of a million motorists to date have lodged an appeal with POPLA, with approximately half being successful.
