Tower Hamlets funds new School Streets projects

Primary schools in the east London borough of Tower Hamlets will benefit from School Streets, an initiative to close roads to traffic or restrict the volume of cars passing by schools.

Tower Hamlets Council has allocated £200,000 for works to start on 15 schools this year and next year. Each school will get a tailored programme of works to improve road safety and help protect pupils from air pollution.
