Motorist drove over parking officer’s foot

A man who drove over a civil enforcement officer’s foot has failed to overturn a driving ban.

On 14 August 2018, Cosme Moreira parked in a disabled bay in Eastgate Street on Gloucester when his car was seen by CEO Edward Metcalfe. As Moreira was not displaying a Blue Badge, the CEO waited 10 minutes before issuing the ticket. Moreira got into his car and went to drive away, reversed and then moved forward, driving over the CEO’s foot.
