A major review of fire safety in car parks is required following the blaze that destroyed a 

multi-storey car park in Liverpool almost a year ago.

The fire at the King’s Dock car park was used as a case study by the British Parking Association’s North West Group, which hosted a seminar on fire prevention and safety. 

The meeting, which was chaired by Roy Tunstall, head of parking services at Liverpool City Council, attracted more than 40 people, including local authorities...
