Couple stole £37k from parking machines to pay for holidays

A married couple working as parking attendants have been jailed for stealing over £37,000 from payment machines to pay for luxury holidays. Alan Shelton and John Riley worked at The Mall shopping centre in Blackburn. They used to open machines, extract cash and then doctor transaction logs. They used the stolen parking revenue to pay for holidays in places such as the Canary Islands.
