Teacher spared jail after driving at Manchester Airport parking official

A teacher has been spared a custodial jail sentence after driving at a parking attendant at Manchester Airport after a row over drop-off costs. 

Graham Benbow, 55, who works at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, was given a six-month suspended sentence after admitting dangerous driving at Manchester Crown Court.

Judge Bernard Lever made it a suspended sentence because the incident was “totally out of character” for the teacher and also criticised the airport’s charging...
