Parents in Tower Hamlets can ask for temporary street closures

Schools in east London will be able to pilot streets closures to cars for a few hours a day where parents are concerned about their children’s health. Tower Hamlets Council is also going to enable ‘Play Streets’, where some roads are closed off at weekends at a community’s request. This is part of #Breathe Clean, a campaign to reduce air pollution in Tower Hamlets, introduced in March 2018.
