Videalert has launched a new generation of mobile automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera technology for use with mobile enforcement vehicles (MEVs).

The high-definition (HD) camera will deliver enhanced capture rates and increase productivity in parking and traffic management applications. 

Videalert said the 2 megapixel camera utilises Sony DSP technology for noise reduction and infra-red sensitivity to capture images of reflective number plates at distances of up to 40 metres....
