Tony Segdwick, a pioneering figure in the parking technology sector, has passed away.

Sedgwick was a founder of Langdale Systems, a company which developed the first generation of parking enforcement and permit management systems for use by local authorities.

He was also an advocate of cashless payment approaches, providing services such as scratch-off parking cards and pre-paid electronic in-car meters.
