Cars are outgrowing parking spaces, says Which?

A growing number of cars on the market now exceed the standard size of a UK parking space, according to research by consumer group Which?

A standard UK parking bay size is 16ft x 8ft (4.8m x 2.4m), which has stood the test of time over the decades. However, 129 models currently on the market in the UK are now significantly longer. 

Both the Renault Trafic Passenger and Mercedes-Benz S-class Hybrid overhang spaces by around half-a-metre.
