Nottinghamshire civil enforcement officer hospitalised by attack

A civil enforcement officer (CEO) in Nottinghamshire was attacked and hospitalised while issuing a penalty charge notice. The female patrol officer suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalised for two days. 

Gillian Brooks said she noticed a car parked in a Shopmobility bay. As she was issuing a parking ticket she was attacked by a male.

The attack left the 61-year-old with a bleed on the brain, a swollen jaw and a bruised neck. She had to have a cut on her head glued together.
