DfT withdraws Operational Guidance on civil parking enforcement

The Department for Transport has withdrawn its Operational Guidance on parking policy and enforcement under the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA).

However, the department’s Statuary Guidance on the TMA sets out the requirements for local authorities in managing parking enforcement. 

The operational guidance is a 166-page toolkit of advice that was last updated in 2015. It was officially withdrawn on 28 March.
