YourParkingSpace survey reveals support for tougher penalties

A third of motorists support making the penalties for misusing disabled parking bays harsher, suggests a survey conducted by online marketplace YourParkingSpace.co.uk.

There was support (33.9%) for harsher financial penalties for misuse of on-street disabled parking spaces, including increasing the maximum fine to £5,000. Almost a quarter of the 500 drivers surveyed (22.6%) wanted a further punishment of three penalty points on a driving licence, while 10% backed the idea of community...
