Employees at a hospital in Romford, Essex, have been told they must sign up to a carpooling scheme if they want to qualify for a parking permit.

As part of a parking permit reallocation at Queen’s Hospital last month, Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHR) said that only those who signed up to the Faxi carpooling app would get a permit. So far, more than 328 employees have registered as drivers while 83 have signed up as passengers, said Faxi.
