Councils failing to embrace EV charging – DfT

The DfT has criticised local authorities in England for the  “extremely disappointing” level of take-up of Government grants for on-street electric vehicle chargepoints. 

Since the launch of the DfT’s on-street residential chargepoint scheme more than a year ago, just £150,000 out of £1.5m available for 2017/18 has been awarded, a DfT spokesman told LTT.
