Homeowners made £12m from renting out driveways

Driveways and empty parking spaces rented out via YourParkingSpace.co.uk made their owners £12m in 2017, reports the online parking portal. 

Over 15,000 space owners using the site earned more than £500 each, with London being the capital of driveway rentals, accounting for a third of all bookings.

London made up 34% of all earnings, closely followed by Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Manchester.
