A failing waterproof system on a car park resulted in water working its way into the supermarket below.
The car park at the Morrison’s store in Herne Bay, Kent, is located on the roof of the retail store itself. The car park is split over two levels providing approximately 80 spaces.
The existing asphalt waterproof wearing surface of the car park had become damaged and split over the years, allowing significant water ingress into the store.
