Sheffield City Council is expanding the availability of phone payment as an option for drivers parking on-street and in car parks.
Following the launch of PayByPhone in Sheffield city centre in May, the cashless service will now be made available in nine car parks and 136 street locations outside the centre, around 10,000 spaces in all.
The service is free for customers to use as the council has eliminated the service charge that motorists had to pay when using the previous app.
